An Author’s Short Film, 2012

In contrast to the traditional road movie genre “The Book about a Plan” movie can be considered an original “walk movie” with a breath of death. An eleven-year-old boy changes into a man – killer and sets off on his lonely walk through the country. This journey gradually loses the contours of a trip through the real space and time and becomes more of a symbolical pilgrimage or a film version of a murderous Bildungsroman. The boy – killer and strategist – finds guidance for his survival in wilderness in Master Sun’s, Chinese, two-and-a-half-thousand year-old book on warfare, and in his peculiar, almost surreal interpretation of reality
