BURTONJUICE
Petra Tejnorová
ALFA Theatre, Plzeň, 2008
Freshly prepared Burtonjuice is a blend of fresh poetry rich in mysterious towns, flying bats, ferocious dogs, witches with glass eyes and all other sorts of weird creatures, which are characteristic of Tim Burton’s works (he is a film maker and writer – among other things author of movies such as Batman, Edward Scissorhands, Big Fish, Corpse Bride, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), the author who has ripped up all genres! Starting with sci-fi and fantasy and ending with puppet musical. Love is risky, just like walking on a rope or just like simply making up things. If things go wrong, you might get a slap across the face in the first place, break a leg in the second or the third and in the last (and the most important for us) place you can become immortal. Because a story – no matter what it is like – should be told. Then, people can live forever.
